THE BACK STORY

 

Hi! I'm Nadia - mum & wife to a house of four boys.  Living in Singapore for over ten years, I watched my husband, Alex, struggle to find the right mix of comfort and style in his wardrobe for way too long (first world problems, I know). There were lots of shirts available but they were either linen (too heavy), had short sleeves (a firm "no" from Alex) or had chest pockets (another no from Mr Four Boys...) so we were stuck for much choice.  I had seen loads of cool Indian block-printed cotton available, so during Covid lockdown I set about ordering some fabric and designing a few shirts for Alex.  Our friends in Singapore quickly started asking where we were buying them from...so...one, two skip a few FOUR BOYS was born...

I'm definitely not the best business woman in the world (I started my working life as a nurse) but I am really proud to say that Four Boys:

• has bought 90% of its fabric from the same supplier in India since day dot 
• has used the same tailor in Vietnam since producing for more than just Alex!
• is non-seasonal and practices small run production
• uses any left over fabric for our shopping bags (and they are totally non-branded on purpose so you use them over and over again)
• is always happy to support charitable causes (so hit me up for freebies if you are fundraising!)
